I am new to aesthetics. Where do I start?
With the Level 3 foundation course, which needs no earlier qualification. From there the route runs through Level 4 and Level 5, which is the main gateway to Level 7.
I already hold qualifications. Can I go straight to dermal fillers?
The Level 7 dermal fillers certificate is for practitioners with relevant prior qualifications and experience. Tell us what you hold and we will confirm whether you meet the entry requirements.
What is the difference between the certificate and the diploma?
The certificate focuses on one procedure, dermal fillers, in depth. The diploma covers more learning across non-surgical aesthetic procedures and asks for a Level 5 qualification in non-surgical aesthetic practice or an equivalent.
Do I need a medical background?
Not for the earlier steps. Healthcare professionals can often start higher up the route, and people from beauty backgrounds can build up through Levels 3, 4 and 5.
How does prescribing work?
Some aesthetic treatments involve prescription-only medicines, which only a qualified prescriber can prescribe after a face-to-face consultation. Ask us how prescribing arrangements work for your future practice.
Can I study part of it online?
Yes, in part. The Level 3 foundation course is mostly online with a short practical element, and the Level 5 course uses online theory with hands-on sessions.
